Finally, 100 Days!
Tomorrow we reach the milestone of 100 school days. The kids are really excited aobut it! We have learned how to count to 100 by 1's, 5's, and 10's. We are focusing on the letter Y this week and are beginning to learn to add. You can easily practice addition by having students add sets of toys at home.

And E makes 5
This week we are spotlighting the letter E. It is the last vowel we have to learn! Your children are making tremendous progress reading. I am so proud of them! Keep reading the word lists and any phonics readers that come home. We are also focusing on measuring things in math. Soon you will be getting your project sacks for the 100th day celebration. Be on the lookout for those!

Back in the Saddle
We are back in the swing of things after Christmas break! This week we are spotlighting the letter Zz. We are also beginning to order things in math such as shortest to longest, biggest to smallest, full or empty, etc. A quick way to work on this is to lay silverware out for your child to put in order from shortest to longest or longest to shortest. You can also set different plates out and have your child put them from biggest to smallest or smallest to biggest.
