Patterns, Patterns, Everywhere!
We have started our math unit on patterns. An easy way to work on patterns is to ask your child about any patterns you see. It could be a striped shirt, a traffic light, bricks on a house, window blinds, etc. We are spotlighting the letter I this week. Lots of halloween words have the I sound: witch, icky, sticky, etc.

Where Does It Go?
This week we are spotlighting the letter Mm. We are also working on position words such as before, after, above, below, on, over, under, beside, left, right, etc. It is important for your child to grasp these positions. You can play an easy game to practice by having your child place a toy "under the chair" or "on the chair" or "to the left of the chair."

Popcorn Words
This week we are learning about oceans and focusing on the letter Aa. Please continue working on our popcorn words: I, am, the, a, little, have, is. These are some of the most common words that your child will read. It is important for them to be able to recognize them.
