Jiggly Jello
This week we are continuing to study addition in math. We are also learning the letter J. An easy way to reinforce this letter and sound is to talk about food: how jelly and jam both come in jars or how Jello will jiggle. Don't forget to have your child read the word list that comes home!

V is for Valentine
There is no better week to be working on the letter V than the week of Valentine's Day! You can stress the sound V makes by talking about valentines, love, forever, etc. We are also beginning to work on addition. You can work on this skill by making two small piles of toys and have your child count both piles and then give you a total of both.

First, Middle, Last
This week we are working on the letter D. An easy game to play with your child is to tell them a variety of words with the letter D and ask them whether the D comes first, in the middle, or last. Some examples of words can be: dog, doll, dinosaur, duck, window, middle, puddle, bed, hid, need, dad.
